Sean 'Diddy' Combs Faces New Federal Charges Ahead of Upcoming Trial

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Faces New Federal Charges Ahead of Upcoming Trial

The music mogul is now facing five federal accusations related to sex trafficking as his trial approaches in May.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs, the prominent music entrepreneur and founder of Bad Boy Records, has been indicted on new federal charges just weeks before his scheduled trial in New York.

The latest allegations, announced on April 5, 2025, involve allegations of prostitution and sex trafficking concerning a second victim, according to federal authorities.

With these additions, Combs now faces a total of five federal charges arising from indictments filed in Manhattan.

The amended indictment accuses the 55-year-old Combs of employing force, deception, and intimidation to coerce women into engaging in commercial sex acts as part of an extended period of abuse that federal prosecutors allege has spanned years and remained concealed by his influential position in the music industry.

Combs' legal representatives issued a statement refuting the accusations, characterizing the claims as a continuation of previously reported allegations and asserting that the purported relationships were consensual in nature.

They expressed concern that the indictment represents government interference in his personal affairs.

Since his initial indictment in September 2024, the breadth of the case against Combs has expanded.

Prosecutors have outlined an alleged racketeering scheme involving multiple criminal activities between 2004 and 2024, detailing accusations of abduction, drugging, and trafficking of women.

Reports have emerged regarding purported drug-fueled sex parties organized by Combs, referred to as 'Freak Offs,' which were allegedly documented on video.

Among the individuals expected to testify against Combs is Cassie Ventura, a musician and his former romantic partner.

Ventura is anticipated to provide her testimony publicly, while other potential witnesses have requested to remain anonymous due to safety concerns.

Currently, Combs is being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following unsuccessful attempts to secure bail.

His trial is set to commence on May 12. If found guilty, Combs faces the possibility of extensive incarceration.

The defense team has challenged the prosecution's claims, asserting that the accusations rest on non-conforming sexual behavior rather than illicit acts.

However, prosecutors maintain that their evidence illustrates a calculated pattern of exploitation and abuse orchestrated by Combs.
