According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, the brothers were from the town of Shebaa and were killed while driving along a road on the slopes of Mount Hermon.
The vehicle caught fire following the strike, leading to their deaths.
The Israeli military confirmed that it conducted a strike in the area of Shebaa, targeting two individuals affiliated with the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, a group linked to Hezbollah.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) emphasized that these individuals were involved in smuggling weapons for use by Hezbollah, stating that such activities constitute a violation of the existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
The IDF has stated its intention to continue operating against any threats posed to Israel’s security.
The Lebanese health ministry also confirmed the deaths of the two brothers.
In an earlier incident on Saturday morning, an Israeli strike near a hospital in Bint Jbeil resulted in injuries to seven individuals, as reported by Lebanon’s health ministry.
