Saudi Arabia will host the International Conference on Nuclear and Radiological Emergencies (EPR2025) in Riyadh from December 1 to 4, organised by the Kingdom’s Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Themed “Building the Future in an Evolving World”, the event aims to bolster global cooperation, share best practices and address regulatory, technical and strategic challenges in nuclear-and-radiological emergency preparedness and response.

The conference will include high-level plenaries, scenario-based policy discussions and technical sessions on topics such as innovative technologies, protection strategies, first-responder coordination and long-term recovery frameworks.

The gathering is expected to draw senior officials, technical experts, regulatory authorities, law-enforcement and civil-protection bodies, academic researchers and early-career professionals from around the world.

Exhibitions and vendor displays on advanced detection, response and infrastructure tools will also feature.

By hosting EPR2025, Saudi Arabia underscores its commitment to nuclear safety, radiological security and knowledge-sharing in line with its broader Vision 2030 objective of building a world-class innovation ecosystem and strengthening national capabilities in emerging fields.
