Earlier in the day, dozens of airstrikes targeted several towns and villages in southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of three individuals in two cars and a motorcycle, as reported by NNA.
Subsequent strikes were focused near the ancient city of Tyre, with Israel accusing Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire.The Israeli military issued evacuation orders for 10 villages, citing violations of the truce agreement by Hezbollah.
In response to these developments, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting three barracks and a military post in northern Israel, stating that their actions were a response to the breach of the ceasefire.Since early March, according to Lebanese authorities, Israeli strikes have resulted in over 3,100 deaths.
The Israeli military also confirmed that one of its soldiers was killed in southern Lebanon on Monday, raising the total number of soldiers killed since the conflict with Hezbollah began to 23.
An additional civilian contractor has lost their life.Two far-right Israeli ministers, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, called for an expansion of Israel's military campaign in Lebanon.
Smotrich suggested that for each explosive drone strike by Hezbollah, "10 buildings must fall in Beirut".
