The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas has issued a call for a global day of rage, urging Arab and Muslim populations to mobilize in solidarity with the people of Gaza and to denounce what they describe as U.S.-backed atrocities.
In a statement released today, Hamas encouraged the public to escalate demonstrations and protests targeting Israeli embassies worldwide.
They declared, 'Let the coming days be ones of anger against the occupation and its supporters until it ceases its aggression and fully lifts the siege on Gaza.'
Recent reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes have intensified, with fatalities rising sharply.
Since early Thursday morning, at least 112 Palestinians have been reported killed in Gaza, including many civilians, following an airstrike that targeted a school housing displaced individuals in the city of Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 31 individuals, among them women and children.
Hamas characterized these actions as acts of genocide under international law, claiming that these operations are conducted under the authorization and support of the United States.
Following the resumption of military operations in Gaza on March 18, it is reported that approximately 1,300 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 3,000 injured, with a significant proportion being women and children.
