Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed outrage at Hamas, referring to its members as "monsters," after the militant group displayed coffins of four Israeli hostages on Thursday in the Gaza Strip, prior to their handover to the International Red Cross.

Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to eliminate Hamas, stating, "We are all furious at the monsters of Hamas," and added, "We will return all our hostages, we will eradicate the murderers, and we will destroy Hamas.

Together, we will ensure our future." He characterized the day as one of collective grief for the nation.

Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed these sentiments, committing to the destruction of Hamas.

He conveyed on social media, "The heart of the entire nation is in mourning today.

Hamas has kidnapped, Hamas has killed, and Hamas will be destroyed.

We will take revenge on our enemies and secure our future."

On this day, Hamas delivered the remains of four Israeli hostages who were killed following their abduction during the group's assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. Hamas fighters presented the four black coffins on a platform in Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza, before the bodies were transferred to the Red Cross.

The coffins displayed portraits and details of the victims: Shiri Bebas and her two children, Kfir and Ariel, along with Oded Lifshitz.

This event has heightened tensions as both Israeli leadership and Hamas engage in a war of words amid an ongoing conflict.
